부모의 양육태도가 대학생 자녀의 목표추구지향성 및 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relations among parenting style, goal-seeking orientation and psychological well-being. Two hundred and fifty-seven college students completed instruments assessing parenting style(authoritarian parenting style, authoritative parenting style), goal-seeking orientation(validation-seeking orientation, growth-seeking orientation) and psychological well-being. Structural analyses showed that authoritarian parenting style contributed positively to validation-seeking orientation while authoritative parenting style contributed positively to validation-seeking orientation and growth-seeking orientation. In turn, validation-seeking orientation contributed negatively to psychological well-being while growth-seeking orientation contributed positively to psychological well-being. Test for mediation showed that validation-seeking orientation fully mediated the relationship between authoritarian parenting style and psychological well-being, partially mediated the relationship between authoritative parenting style and psychological well-being and growth-seeking orientation partially mediated the relationship between authoritative parenting style and psychological well-being. The implication and limitations were discussed with some suggestions for the future researches.
