국내 자동차 산업의 구조 개편 방향에 관한 고찰

초록

[Purpose] The purpose of this study is to derive management implications based on considerations on the direction of restructuring of the domestic automobile industry. [Methodology] The research method is literature research. Based on research on the restructuring trend of the global automobile industry, risk factors of the domestic automobile industry, and the response of the government and corporations, a study was conducted on the direction of the restructuring of the domestic automobile industry. [Findings] It is highly likely that only 3 to 4 companies remain out of the current 5 companies, as seen in the case of domestic automobile manufacturers saturating the domestic market, increasing production costs, and in the US and Japan. Second, Hyundai/Kia is expected to expand investment in new southern countries instead of lowering its dependence on China, which is struggling. Third, the possibility of restructuring auto parts makers is expected to increase following the conversion of electric vehicles. Therefore, for the continuous development of the automobile industry, which has a large front－rear link effect, it seems necessary to support plans for each type of automobile parts area. [Implications] It was confirmed that the Korean automobile industry is facing a crisis due to weakening competitiveness and EV conversion issues. Accordingly, there is a need for agile response from the government and companies in the future, and it seems that there is a need to improve the responsiveness of future cars for the survival of auto parts makers.
