시군구 단위 환경산업 지역경쟁력 제고 요인 분석

초록

This study explores the factors that influence the growth of environmental industries at municipal level in Korea. We employed shift-share analysis to isolate the effect of local competitive advantage(i.e. regional shift effect) on the growth of environmental industries between 2007 and 2014. This study measured standardized local competitiveness in environmental industries as a whole as well as four sub-sectors: manufacturing, construction, wholesale and trade, and service. A regression model with lagged-dependent variable was employed for the analysis. We considered municipal governments’ expenditures, investment, and regulatory effort for promoting environmental industries as primary explanatory variables and other local characteristics such as economic conditions and demographic variables were also included in the model.
