부모의 조건부 관심과 고등학생의 완벽주의와의 관계에서 내현적 자기애의 매개효과

초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of covert narcissism in the relation between parental conditional regard and perfectionism of high school student. For this purpose, 357 high school students participated in the study and completed Scales for Parental Conditional Regard, Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(MPS), and Covert Narcissism Scale(CNS). The method of statistical analysis about these materials was composed of correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was no difference between male and female students in parental conditional regard, covert narcissism and perfectionism. Second, correlation analysis showed that parental conditional regard had positive correlations with covert narcissism, adaptive perfectionism and maladaptive perfectionism. Third, covert narcissism affected as partial mediating variable in the relation between parental conditional regard and maladaptive perfectionism, whereas there was no mediating effect of covert narcissism in the relation between parental conditional regard and adaptive perfectionism. It is empirically determined that parental conditional regard may be the cause of their children's maladaptive perfectionism and covert narcissism, thus it is meaningful that it can help develop parenting programs aimed at preventing and improving parental conditional regard.
